Product Recall May 2026

Mondo has issued a product recall for HealthSure 2L Hot Water Bottles sold between November 2022 and April 2026 in Chemist Warehouse Stores

What is the Product Concern
The Hot Water Bottle is missing complete safety and warning instructions on the cellophane bag.

What to do
Keep the plastic bag away from children and dispose of the bag in a safe manner.

Instructions for Use
When filling this hot water bottle, do not use boiling water and fill to a maximum of      two-thirds capacity or less
Hold the bottle by the neck in an upright position and fill slowly to avoid hot water splashing back.
Remove air by gently lowering onto a flat surface until water appears at the opening.
Secure the stopper tightly (finger-tight is sufficient) and ensure funnel is empty.
After use, empty completely.
Store with stopper removed in a cool, dry, dark place.
Do not place items on top of the bottle during storage.
Check the bottle and stopper for wear and damage before each use.
Keep these instructions for future reference.

Warnings

Hot water bottles can cause burns.
Avoid prolonged direct contact with skin.                                                                            Not suitable for infants or young children without strict adult supervision                            If prolonged contact is possible, use an adequate cover to prevent burns.
Do not use as a cushion or sit on the bottle under any circumstances.
Do not overfill, as this may cause the bottle to burst.
Keep away from hot surfaces to avoid damage or risk of failure.

Cautions
Avoid contact with oil or grease.                                                                                        
Keep away from direct sunlight.                                                                                            Do not fill using water from the domestic hot water system as this can considerably shorten the life of the hot water bottle. 
Always empty after use to prevent damage.                                                                  Replace the hot water bottle immediately if damaged or showing signs of wear or deterioration.

Plastic bags can be dangerous.
